About

Decentralized cloud storage using blockchain technology is an alternative to centralized cloud storage services provided by Google Azure Cloud Storage, Google Drive, DropBox, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure Cloud Storage.

Functionland, a global company, with the leadership and development teams based in Toronto, ON, is building a blockchain-attached storage (BAS) consumer grade hardware called ‘Blox’. The company has built robust file and data sharing protocols using Rust, LibP2P, IPFS and IPLD technologies and enables Web3 projects to realize the full potential of their technology by striving for providing a truly decentralized backend as a service, developer incentives and fast, encrypted, and private data retrieval mechanisms.

Functionland is multichain oriented, and enables Web3 projects to realize their full potential by providing a truly decentralized backend as a service, developer incentives and fast, encrypted, and private data retrieval mechanisms. This allows big tech file storage alternatives, file manager utility apps, storage and compute; and, blockchain data companies to offer their customers free, unlimited and truly decentralized storage. Further their blockchain-attached storage hardware, Fx Blox, will achieve enhanced commercial success as if it is known that the consumer gadget offers encrypted on-premise file storage and has strong technical integrations with well known Layer 1’s with hugh Daily Active Users (DAUs), and with other open source primitives and protocols being built by technically strong Web3 projects.

We are building a Layer3 protocol, that “rolls up” to multiple Layer 2 chains such as Cudos, Algorand and others down the road such as Polygon (Matic), and ultimately to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token. We also plan to work adjacently with , and have our token be swappable, or exchangeable with other Layer 1’s such as NEAR Protocol that have developers building dApps within the ecosystem.
